Steve often says "you don't know how good your insurance is until you need it". That's his take on extended warrantys also. That being said, we did take out the 4 year bumper to bumper policy our dealer offered us on our used unit. Our dealer sold it to us at his cost. He does this because he says its less headache for him... if something goes wrong, its under warranty. Basically worked out to a hundred a year, cheap. Was it worth it? Don't know, too early to tell, but we will see.....

I didn't think this post would grow that much.

I just think since Montana usually fixes things beyond the 1 year warranty, why not make it official at 2 years.

Lippert certainly does because I see Dale helping people all the time. Since most of the items are warranted past two years it would be easy and minimum expense to offer the warranty.

Lets have a who-ha for a 2 year warranty.

Reality check...Increasing the warranty period without improving quality and workmanship would increase the Warranty cost to the manufacturer. It is not going to happen....

What are the costs of an extended warranty? I've asked a couple of dealers and they weren't sure.
