Am Iooking at this wrong???

That wording is, indeed, a big change from back when we ordered this one. I suspect at least part of the change is due to the changes to make the Montana less freeze susceptible. I was told last year by the Keystone Service Center that **our** Montana is guaranteed not to freeze only down to 28 degrees. That's why I've had to make a number of changes to ours.

We were told by a Keystone exec back in January that they read all we on this forum had to say about freezing and they made a number of changes. The water lines were moved off the frame and up into the upper part of the belly in a channel of their own so they get the most heat and don't lay on the freezing frame. They moved the low point drains inside. Etc. Etc. And, according to this guy (can't remember his name) they took a new Montana up into Michigan somewhere and used it for a month with temperatures down to zero and it did not freeze. To me, this is the justification for now saying it is four season capable. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me.

Dsprik, where did you get the 2007 brochure. Latest I can find is 2007. In the past, the new model year brochures have not been available until well after turn of the year. Maybe Keystone has improved this and offers 2007 brochures as the 2007's are shipped?

Steve the brochure is digitalized on Montana's web site now. You can tell this is the brochure, as they are showing "half" pages. If you printed this pdf out you would have to do it in "booklet form" as they are really meant to be in a booklet (brochure) with half of the pic on one page, then the other half of the pic on the facing page.

On my 06 2955RL, there are solid members behind the brackets. Each bracket has 3 holes and I was able to hit solid wood behind 2 holes on each bracket. The rail is very solid. My Plan "B" was to put a piece of oak on the oppossite side of the wall and clamp the wall.

One other note, I am still able to completely close the sliding door between the kitchen and bedroom and I used this door as the cut off point of the lower hand rail.

The brackets are from Home depot and were called heavy duty.

On my recent trip we had weather down to 24 degrees F. I have the Arctic Pkg and never had any problem. The unit stayed very comfortable and I was wearing a T-Shirt. I do have double pane windows and I was glad to have them. At some of the parks I was in in Edmonton, Alberta there are people living in RVs all winter but they have the units skirted in with insulated walls and heat this space.

Don, I'm glad to hear that. We are very happy that we are getting a 2007 3400. There is no way (wife is not looking over my shoulder) that we will get away with being were it never snows on the Monty with our five grandkids in N. Mich. Got a call from our 2nd oldest son yesterday. He and his wife's work situations are changing and he called to say that they will be getting ready to start their family shortly now. Guess where they live? Neepawa, MB Canada - thinking of moving to Calgary. More grandkids in the "North Country"...

Good to know that Montana has made all these cold weather improvements...

Well if they move to Calgary that will give you guys the opportunity to visit Banff and Jasper National Parks as well as getting to know Calgary which is a very neat City with lot's to do.

And if you get that far out west you might as well come over to Vancouver Island. Take care.
