Coleman Shower Bag vs RV Shower

Not really a comparison of the two but rather a comparison of the logic of a 20 something vs well, the rest of us.

Our 20 something stayed with us several times in the Montana. She would always complain about the shower. Hot water doesn't last long enough, not enough water, not enough pressure blah blah blah. So today she calls singing the praises of the 5 gallon Coleman solar shower. "It's so great, I can finish a whole shower"

Guess what she'll be using next time she stays with us!

We bought a Oxygenic and I installed it based on the high praise it has received. We have yet to try it.
Wish it came in a "oil rubbed" bronze finish like our other fixtures.

If you're talking about the bag type shower for tent campers, there's no comparison. I doubt she has ever used one, or she wouldn't be singing their praises.

I think I would like that bag shower if I din not have anything else. Otherwise I will gladly stay with my shower at home or the shower in the 3160. I have not installed anything to our shower in our unit but neither my wife or I have even come close to running out of hot water. I think it holds twelve gallons and just to be sure I usually turn on both the gas and electric when showering. What size HW heaters do most people have? A couple of friends have something that adds air to their showers and they say it helps. They are also running six gallon HW heaters. Sounds like maybe when boon-docking it could help cut down on water usage.

That would be the Oxygenics shower head, I believe.

A few months ago the Trailer Life magazine had a review of the Ecocamel shower head. I ordered one and have been very pleased. The way it pulses with air makes it feel higher pressure than it may measure. I also replaced my inline regulator with a house adjustable regulator to increase flow rate.

All in all a much better solution than a Coleman Shower bag. BTW, I've never run out of hot water in the Monty with both the electric and gas water heater switches on.

Doesn't make sense, she complains about a shower when using a 12 gal. water heater but she thinks a 5 gal. solar shower is Great! You are right David, if she was my child she would be using the solar one also from now on.

When I read the part about not enough hot water I thought of my granddarlin. She would complain of the same things. I found out that she would turn on the cold water first then the hot. It takes more hot water that way once I told her to turn on the hot let it get hot then the cold the problem went away.

I spray painted mine with paint for plastics a bronze finish and it is a fairly close match. After using it for 5 months last winter the paint stood up to daily use.

Sounds like a certain lil gal needs to be acquainted to a "sailors shower" when visiting. Turn water on spin around turn water off, Soap up. Turn water on spin around 3-4 times and call it clean. I have a niece that uses probably 35 gallons of water per shower at her parents stick house along with 2 towels to dry off. I'm acquainted with what you are talking of here.
