Coach-Net Platinum or GS ERS Platinum

So which one is better? We have had GS ERS Standard for 7 years but Coach-Net Platinum comes along and has a pretty good deal.

Anyone have C-N and what have been your experiences?

I have Coach Net and have used it once and they went out of the way to help. Had GS for years and never used it so do not know how they are.

We now have coach net and we have had GS in the past. Used both got excellent service from both. Went to Coach net for the new member discount.

We have Coach-Net and haven't had to use it yet, but I made that choice after checking the other forums I belong to and seeing who had problems with what. GS occasionally sends unqualified folks out, my guess would be because they contract running the program out to other folks. I had trouble with a similar plan with my motorcycle once. Based on that I went with Coach-Net. From what I can tell, GS's problems are few and far between, but if it can go bad it will with me so I stayed away.

I also have Coach-net, but have not used it yet. I based my decision on reading the open roads forum as ERS often comes up in discussions there. There would be occasional complaints about Good Sam ERS (and others), although those were generally outnumbered by good comments about GS. But a complaint about Coach-net was very rare indeed. So that swayed me to go with Coach-net a little over a year ago.
However, in the last few months there have been a few complaints about Coach-net show up. Nothing I would consider major, just a little more than previously posted.

I've had CoachNet since 2004 - I went with them as they cover any vehicle I am driving as well as any trailer I have in tow. Used them once, great service! Just renewed my membership with them for another 5 years.

Coach-Net! Had them since 2004. Have used them multiple times. Three blowouts, towed two different trucks with mechanical failures, one fuel delivery due to mileage miscalculation with head wind, and once to lift and position my rig facilitate hook up, and once to haul the rig to the shop after ripped up the driver side on a low pipe. All incidents were treated with professionalism and followed-up to make sure my needs were met. Hope no one else has as many incidents as I have.

We had Camping World ERS (same as Good Sam ERS) for several years with very good results. Helped us immensely in time of need. We switched to Coach-Net four years ago primarily because they were endorsed by Escapees RV Club of which we are lifetime members. Have only had to call them once and they were "johnny-on-the-spot and took care of us really well. We only had one complaint with Camping World ERS and that was due to the towing company that responded to our call in Livingston, TX back in 2004 -- dirty, unkempt equipment, lack of proper equipment. We told CW about it and they said they wouldn't use that company again.

While I have Coach Net, I know many that have GS and have had actual experience with GS that was good. Not having any issues to rate Coach Net, my belief is they are comparable.

We decided to go with Coach-Net as our dealer was offering the one year plan at $119. Hopefully we will never have to use it.

Thanks for all the insite!
