Algodones eyeglasses

Have any of you bought your glasses in Algodones. Did you save money?
Did you have the eye exam in Algodones.

Ron, we have purchased several pair of glasses there, and yes, you will save money. Have not had an eye exam there.

Ron, my wife has bought her glasses there for years. We usually go to Algodones Optical. It is back down that street that has a cover over the line to get back out through Customs.

Yes and Yes started in 2007. You pay full price for 1st pair then get 2nd pair for half price and that is with eye exam. They only take check or cash no credit cards.

We have both bought glasses there with good results. Carol had to have cataract surgery and the local eye doctor checked her glasses and said they weere as good as what was available here.Paid about 120 with trifocal and transion lens. Alot cheaper and only took two hours, just enought time for lunch and a cool one
