State Farm full-time RV insurance

I have had State Farm insurance on my truck and trailer for almost 3 years. I went full time 3 months ago
State Farm said I am covered under their policy for fire, theft and liability....
Does anyone have State Farm as a fulltimer??
Checked with Geico today their full time coverage is going to cost me $500 more for a 6 months coverage , for truck and trailer.
State Farm told me that they have many full timers??

I have State Farm coverage for my truck. Montana 3120. Umbrella and another auto. Sold our house in June 21. Bought cargo trailer to store contents that I didn’t sell and store at sister in laws home. Took out renters insurance for that home. Agent has been asked to verify if we are in camper 200 days or more are we covered. Answer is yes and verified with underwriting.

Each state has different rules on insurance. I'd suggest you just start calling or us a 'multi' agent to find exactly what you want.

I can't help as far as full timing. But we have had State Farm on all our vehicles, houses, and RV for over 30 years, and they have been great. Have had claims, some quite significant, on all categories and they have always paid quickly with never a problem, including one incident with an uninsured motorist that sideswiped my truck.

As long as they assure full timing coverage in writing I would not hesitate. You may find something cheaper, but nothing better IMHO.

Any body that is a Good Sam member can call them, give them the requirements for your insurance and they well scout around and find you the best deal.

We have used Millerrvinsurance.com for the last 12 years of full timing and they've always found us what we wanted. Full timing insurance costs more because of the blanket liability needed without owning a home. If you own a home it should carry the blanket liability insurance, but no home, no coverage for that.

I stopped using them after a minor mishap on an iced over road, I had slowly slid up against a stopped pickup unable to get traction, was going to offer help. I managed to pull away, pickup owner put a claim against my insurance, said I had sprung his hood and fender when I pulled away. I had kept State Farm for years, but agent said they were raising my rate because they felt I should "share the cost of the claim." I don't know what the did with all the money I gave them previously, but I dumped them soon after. I use Progressive for my RV, but don't bundle, used them on my last RV, never had a problem but never had a claim, so the jury is still out.

Well, I'm with AllState, but not a full timer (per say), as I still own my house (well, my name is still on the deed and it's my permanent residence). AllState does not offer full time insurance, but I found this little bit of tid-bit when surfing the Net.

As I understand it, Roamly is a licensed agent (essentially a broker) who finds you a policy underwritten by actual insurers, some well known names such as Allstate and Safeco and some not so well known names. Such independent agents is not an unusual arrangement. And at least Roamly does specialize in RVers.

But I think you would do well to research satisfaction ratings of the actual underwriter for your potential policy. Savings on policy costs doesn’t help if you have problems getting claims paid.

I have had State Farm for over 30 years, and have always been treated exceptionally well on any claims. I have all of my vehicles and home with them.

I think a lot of it is the agent. My incident was dealing with the local agent in a place I was stationed at, the guy with the truck was a local resident that was well acquainted with the State Farm agent.
