I think this is what you want: http://www.butchsservices.com/5601.html
We've got one and like it.

That's it, new to 5th wheel guy was asking about bedsavers and I thought of this low cost fix. Thanks Dick.

I've got one from Butchesservices.com and really like it. Takes up less bed space and cost was MUCH less. Everything needed for install is in the box, to include punch and drill.

We have one and will use it the first time towing to Fall Rally. Easy to install and looks good. We have previously been retracting the landing gear about 3 inches above ground then doing a tug test, now plan to retract all the way.

Why does the bar slide? It seems if you could forget to slide the bar you could forget to latch up. Just saying. And yes I just crushed my bed rails.

Ken, if you want a passive set-up, you could go with the Blue Ox. Sorry about your rig, that is a bummer.

Latching up isn't what I'm trying to protect against, although since I have that bar sticking out in my face it does help to get me to check again. I'm more concerned with high hitching or the hitch not holding for some other reason.

I have Butch's system also. He is great to work with. Now if I only had Monte back so I could use it.
