3160RL Awning Lights?

We have two awnings with factory LED lights. Switch at the main controls panel inside has an awning light switch that ONLY turns on the front awning lights. The second awning lights (over outside TV) does not come on. Am I missing a switch somewhere or should both awnings be wired to one switch for the lights?

Thanks!

Look in your outside entertainment center located in the DS slide. Both the awning light switch and the extend/retract switch are inside along with TV and radio/CD/DVD player.

Hmm, only tv in the outside entertainment center, I even pulled tv out to look behind it. The in/out switch for the rear awning is a stand alone switch in my control center. The main awning and its light switch are in the command center cluster of switches.

Dear FreeRoamn
The switch should turn on both light strips.

Great thank you, I will check out the wiring at the switch and see what is up with that end.

What year is your 3160? My 2016 has both the awning light switch and the extend/retract switch in with the TV. Also stereo/DVD in there. Is yours a 2017? I wish they had put both switches in with rest in the main compartment.

Tom,

We have a 2017 and there is NOTHING in the TV compartment, but the TV. The extend/retract is in the main control center inside the trailer but is not in the big cluster of controls for everything else. The main awning and it's light switch are on the main panel in the control center. It sounds like the awning light switch for the main awning should also control the smaller rear awning over the TV on the 2017. I need to investigate further and see if a wire is undone at the switch.

Problem solved, removed the main switch/control panel inside the RV and found a 3amp inline fuse to the rear awning light that was blown/not working. The layout of the switches leaves something to be desired. Just a heads up to others, the fuses in the main electrical panel 12v/120v are not the only fuses in the RV. My 3160RL has two inline 3amp fuses (one for front and rear awning lights) behind the main control panel in the hallway.
