Been wondering how many MOCers out there on the coast were getting hit by that storm. Looks pretty bad.

Based on past experience with Kansas tornadic thunderstorms, making sure your tanks are as full as possible also helps, particularly if the winds approach or exceed 90mph.

We are here in Winchester Bay, Or. The wind was around 45 mph, broke a sign at the front of the park. I had a privacy wall out of two 8x4 chip board, almost lost them. I reinforced them and they survived the winds. Up North Florance 59 mph and at the border to Wa. 89 mph. North Bend saw news of a tree fell on a house, The worst is over suppose to see some sun this weekend.

I was expecting so much more down here in Souther CA. We are camped on the beach and were expecting to get 10ft waves and 40+mph winds. So far it's just another storm. I don't think it's even raining hard enough to clean the roof.

Yeah you are right Dick I made sure the tanks were pretty full for more weight and the Monty held up well ,the slides moved a little sometimes but no big deal,ALSO one thing I learned does NOT work for flapping toppers is beach balls ,I put two of them in the big slide and after a few big gusts both took off to Outer Space SOOOOO.. I took a few motorcycle straps and threw them over the toppers and attached the hooks under the slides and tightened then down and that helped BIG TIME too bad I only had a few of them so the little slides were the ones keeping me awake so off to the hardware store to get more for the next storm

Last three days hit by biggest storm in years. Shasta Lake rose 9 feet in less that 24 hours. Montana held her ground with no issues! Funny how flooding is almost welcome after a long dry spell! We figured if we lost power, we would go out to the Montana and hang out! It's on our private lot we developed. Ground a little soggy, but drivable. We are ready for more rain if the Good Lord feels so inclined!

We were there in Winchester last May. Sunny skies, breezy (gusts to 30 MPH) and we were there the day it hit 95 degrees!!! Like you, we love Winchester. Like to go out to the dunes and watch the crazy dune buggies and quads zoom around.
