We have been doing these items since our Monty purchase.

One never knows when a valve or water line will fail. Do not like returning to surprises and clean-up work.

We had a end valve permanently installed for the same reasons. We don't turn our water off, but probably should.

At Mission Bay RV Resort in San Diego,Ca. a sewage leak or accident has a min. $50.00 cleanup fee so a sewer line end valve makes good cents.

We use a Y water shutoff valve outside so we can use two hoses, one for the city supply and one for the black-tank flush. One time when staying ai a SKP Park in WA. that has side by side hookups where two rigs share the island hookups. We left for a day trip and I shut off my water. When we returned a few hours later a MH had set up next to us and the owener had turned my water back on trying to hook his up. Lucky I had not put on the hose for the tank-flush. From then on when leaving for aextended time I un hook all water hoses completely.
