Well, I tried suing the winterize intake to fill the fresh water tank. No go. The pump is working great. I added a female hose fitting to fit a hose bib that I use with the blue water jugs. that took care of the natural curl the vinyl tubing wanted to follow and reduces the chance of contamination. We dry camped for 14 days in July. We had to pull out once to dump the black and gray tanks and fill the fresh water. Between times I added fresh using the little pump.

My brother-in-law is now using a similar setup to refill their motorhome and couldn't be happier.

If you have an extra whole house water filter or purchase one, you can connect your white water hose to it's inlet side, remove the filter element from the filter bowl, fill the filter bottom bowl partly full of bleach, put a 1/2 or 3/4 inch piece of pvc that fits over the outlet hole over the middle hole inside of the filter top, screw on the bowl, connect another piece of white hose to the outlet side of the filter, connect the other end of the hose to the inlet for filling the fresh water tank and turn on the water. The bleach will go up the plastic tubing through the outlet side of the filter, into the second hose and into your water tank. You can then use the onboard pump to draw the sanitizing water from the tank into the lines to sanitize them also. Let it sit about a half hour in the lines and then drain the fresh water tank(see another post here on the forum on how to drain the fresh water tank), fill with fresh water and flush the lines of the sanitizing liquid. It's best to use something like baking soda in the water when refilling to get the taste and smell of the sanitizer out of the tank and the lines. I normally flush my tank and lines two or three times before using the baking soda solution that I add the same way as the sanitizer via a whole house water filter. It sounds like a long process but it really doesn't take that long once you get started!
