TRI AXLE Big Sky?? That's THREE(3) AXLES!!

Didn't believe it when I past it so I turned around for a second look.

Need a second look??

There was no one around so I was unable to ask any questions.

Glenn, you need to find out about that baby! Did they sneak one in on us? Surprises all the time!

Glenn, was there a model number on it?

It has the older graphics so I'd guess they're not restarting Big Sky. Maybe an aftermarket custom job?

Very interesting. Be sure to let us know if you find out more.

Didn't even get close but it was definitely an older unit. It did not appear to be a custom job. It was set up in someone's yard and nobody was home. I didn't dare trespass and it is about an hour behind us.
Maybe MIMF will have an answer.

There is another older Montana here in the park we are currently in. It has a slightly different front cap than what we are accustomed to. Kind of hard to describe so I'll try to get a pic and more info.

Glenn, maybe it looks like Dave Anderson's Montana? Maybe you remember it from the first rally?

That is certainly amazing. Can't be true and it does not look that old. We need to know......

Now that is a curiosity! I hope MIMF (or someone else in the know) can elaborate. I must admit I have often wondered why Keystone did not offer a tri axle on the heavier trailers.

OOPS, I actually forgot about this thread.

I didn't get back to ask any further questions about the Tri axle and the second Montana apparently pulled out of the cg. I'll try to find a similiar 5er of a different brand with a like front cap.

Wonder if it would be worth contacting Keystone for a little history?

I guess we never got this one figured out did we? We were at the car races this past weekend and I the thought that maybe it was a Raptor painted to look like a Big Sky, but now I take a second look at the pictures, that can't be. Maybe a Big Sky on a Raptor chasis? Seems unlikely, ...perhaps some kind of a prototype that never went anywhere?

I'd still like to know the story.
