Help finding Slide Switch

I just purchased a new to me 2021 Montana 3761FL, and can’t find the ODS slide control switch.

The dealership showed it to to me, along with a thousand other things during a 20 minute orientation. It was too much to take in all at once.

First off welcome to the forum. The controller isn't located in the same place on all trailers. Mines on the ceiling of the battery compartment. It will be near the slide it controls. See the picture of the controller on the first post.

I think you are just looking for the slide control switch, not the control module.

My unit has the In-Command system and there are no physical switches. Slides are controlled on the In-Command screen or smart phone.

If you do not have the In-Command system, your slide control switches might be in the control panel cabinet along with tank level monitors, etc.

I watched a sales video showing your model (2021 3761FL). In the floor plan below the slides with an “S” are Schwintek Slides. The slides with “H” are hydraulic and are operated by the Lippert Level-up control panel on the drivers side just in front of the propane tank door. The video showed switches for the interior control panel (second screen shot) - not an InCommand screen. The Schwintek slide switches should be labeled there.

To move the hydraulic slides individually, turn off the slide you don't want to move.
Rotate the knob to off.

Thanks. I found them, but the don’t seem to work. I turned the DS switch off but the DS slide still retracts. I’m assuming that only works to stop the slide from extending, but doesn’t work to stop it from retracting.

The valves stop both extension and retraction.

I don't know much about the in-command except what I read here. To me it seems really dumb to design a system that has no physical switch to control some function - of any kind. I have worked on computers since 1966. I know things don't always work as expected and designers can not anticipate every option that can happen. So when something like this happens and no real switch, you are screwed.

Try the other knob.
The labeling is very confusing.
DS = Door Side OR Drivers Side ????
I re-labeled mine
LEFT. RIGHT.

Maybe I should label them
PORT. STARBOARD.

LOL.

I need to clarify my earlier post…as stated above - those two knobs allow you to operate the hydraulic slides one at a time, but you have to make the slides move with the switches in the control panel. The Lippert panel by the propane door is for the level-up system (except for those two knobs).

Frankly I have never been in a situation where I only needed to move ONE of my hydraulic slides out so I have never used my OD/ODS knobs. It’s good to know the knobs are there - but you should be trying to operate your slides from the switches in your control panel.

A note for your Schwintek slides…when you run them in or out - keep the switch pressed 3-4 seconds after the movement has stopped. This syncs the motors on both sides of the slide. You should try not run the things out half way and run it back in…always go completely out + hold the button 3 seconds or completely in + hold for 3 seconds.

Just to clarify Daryles response. In the RV world DS = Door Side (and for those of you with those weird model Montanas with a door on BOTH side, it is the Passenger Side Door). Why they didn't use the conventional automotive meaning of DS being Drivers Side is beyond me.
