Propane shocker

We have been sitting at Boulder Beach Campground for a few days and I needed a tank of propane. Thought I would go to Boulder Village & RV instead of going into Boulder City.
After seeing the price of things in the gift shop I guess I should have asked before hand what the price was for propane.
Propane was $4.89 + tax per gallon. The good thing was I only took 1 bottle.
Highest I've ever paid or seen.
2 days left here and then off to Quartsite for an outing.

We are in McAllen TX and the truck comes to the park to fill ours for $19.00 with tax.

What a rip off! More than a dollar more than the highest we have paid.

Larry, what did you do rob a bank or did you win the lottery? Great looking truck. When we left Mission last spring propane in the park was $18.50 while outside it was 17.00. Had a great time with the dealer after the Packers won the Super Bowl. He was a Cowboys fan.

Just topped off two 30# and 5 20# right before Thanksgiving. It cost me $2.90 per gallon for about 14 gallons, all told. Finally, something in California cheaper than what someone else paid.

Sounds like the same thieves we had to deal with in Bluffton SC the last three winters. They charged a dollar a pound. Regardless if the tank was half full or not, you still got charged 30 bucks for a 30 pounder. CW on the other hand was givine the usual 10% off with the Pres. club and an additional 25% off for asking for it. plus their price was 2.89 before discounts. They also only charged you for what they pumped. I found it cheaper to drive the 15 miles to CW with one completely empty 30 and a partial 30 than taking one empty to BP...

This summer in Prince Edward Island, I filled a 30# bottle of LP for $47! I thought that was a hold-up until I got about 25 gallons of diesel for $145! About 1/3 was tax. And the Canadian dollar was worth a little more than a US $1. But I just went with the flow and enjoyed the trip.
