You need to turn the oven knob on, just slightly, then push it "in" and hold it. It may take 30 seconds (or even longer) for the air to bleed out of the line. After half a minute (or longer), turn the spark knob. KEEP holding the knob "IN" for at least another 30 seconds so the thermocouple will heat up properly. Once it heats up, then turn the dial to your desired temperature and the burner will fire up.

If you are not holding that button "in" you'll never have the gas. If you are letting go of it too fast, the pilot will not stay lit.

Good luck.

This is what I would check...
1. Does the gas valve on the driver side tank show green (inside the propane tank door).
- Just for grins - I would switch the valve over to the other tank and see if the curb side tank has gas and keeps the valve showing green.
2. Do you have hot water? can you hear the water tank fire?
3. I would test the furnace to see if it will kick on and light.
4. I would try to light the oven.

All of this would help you figure out if propane is flowing to all of the appliances.

Joe,

Recommend you give Furrion a call. I have heard of problems keeping the oven lit but not getting it lit.

I must have had my special glasses on when I read your OP…I thought the stove top was the problem. I have had success a few times by sticking a lighter back there where the sparkler is to get the pilot going. I agree with the suggestion to call Furrion.

Joe,
A spider or other critter may have nested in the gas tube opening of the pilot. I had this problem with a gas fireplace and clening solved it. At first glance I couldn't see anything and like you was getting no fuel to burn. Just a thought...

That is a good suggestion above. Did you try lighting the pilot the old-school, conventional way, by holding the pilot start pushed in on the dial, and using a hand held fire starter, BBQ fire starter and hold the flame in the pilot light spot. See if the pilot comes on. If it does, then the spark itself is not working.... which is very possible, as those wires can crack and cause the spark to spark in places other than at the spark arrestor.

Wow! Glad you got it working finally. I suppose all it took was a good shake-up? Some mysteries we'll never figure out, just be grateful things started working right.

2 travel trailers ago, the gas/electric RV refrigerator would not fire up on propane. I couldn't figure it out. I removed the outside vent cover and studied the situation over. I pulled and tugged a little on the wires, but nothing happened. I was getting really frustrated by now, took my hammer and simply whacked the refrigerator over the head! (symbolically you know). But I did whack something pretty good. Went inside, turned the refrigerator on again, and the dang thing worked, and worked flawless until we traded several years later. I never figured out what I did to actually fix the problem. I suppose a good whack in the head does get results sometimes!

Its not uncommon for gas valves to stick closed. They are very sensitive, particularly if they are not used very often. Your parts cleaning did the trick.
