Got our call from the resort. Excitement is building. Cannot wait to get out this year. Whoohoo.

Wish I was going but we are leaving Blackwell Landing on the 27th of June. At least I got to meet a few fellow MOC members last year. Have fun.

The reservation process with the park was super easy. Thanks for setting this up. Looking forward to our first rally. Let us know how we can help out.👍

Fifteen days left until registration is closed. We have five sites remaining; registration will close when those are gone or May 15, whichever comes sooner.

If you are thinking about coming to Coeur d,Alene Idaho, now is the time to sign up.

My wife and I aren't going to be able to make it, since we had made other plans for this weekend, before we heard about the rally. We live just 25 miles from Coeur D Alene, and coincidentally did our maiden voyage in our new Montana just a few weeks ago, just before hearing about the rally.
I would like to say that this is a very nice RV park, and CDA ID is a beautiful city. I have spent many 4th of July holidays in CDA. We have also done numerous resort cruises, and they are well worth the time and money. CDA gets very crowded over the 4th of July weekend, so be prepared for crowds and traffic on Sat. and Sun. It is busiest around the time of the parade and fireworks.
I would suggest that if anybody is thinking of going out to dinner over the weekend, they might want to make reservations a month or so in advance. If anybody would like restaurant suggestions, or has any questions about the area, feel free to contact me.

Al

Registration for the 2021 Western Region rally is now closed. We have 41 rigs signed up. Keep an eye on the activity posts to sign for things you are interested in. We are finalizing the schedule and will post it soon.

We are going to have to cancel this years rally due to medical issues with my wife. We were really looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Hopefully next year.
Have fun!

I have informed the park of our cancellation.

My truck blew both turbos on the way back from Redding last week. They replaced the turbos and when they fired it up today, it had a horrible knock. They say metal got into the motor when the turbos disintegrated and the motor ingested it. New motor time, thank goodness under warranty. The truck won't be ready for at least a week and probably more.

We are going to have to cancel our attendance this year (unless I can find a new truck).

Sorry for the inconvenience, Tom & Teresa

Becky’s cousin and her fiancé just purchased a new Montana, supposed to take possession on the first and should be arriving at Blackwell Island on the second. They managed to get in to a slot from one of the cancellations of our group and she is signing up on the MOC. Her name is Kim Brewer and his is Steve Dowell, and they plan on participating with the group, so add them to the list please.

Due to the heat wave in the Northwest, we have decided to cancel out of the rally. Hopefully we’ll see you all in 2022. Stay as cool as you can.

I'm afraid that we have back out as well. This is our first longer trip in this 5er and have spent several days now in 100+ heat. Our rig with a single AC is clearly not up to it. It's been mid 90's inside and barely cooling down at night. We've been fairly miserable and decided not to continue further from home. We are very disappointed to miss our first rally. We did cancel with the park.

How are others doing with the heat? Do those with dual AC's stay more comfy?

Please have a great time in spite of the heat and we'll look forward to the next one.

Understand, thanks for letting us know. Dual AC's are a little better. The trick is to start cooling early. The last couple days it has got up to 85 inside in our unit by late afternoon. It was over 110 here today, no one is comfortable. See you next time.
