Timbrems
I got my Timbrens and installed them. There was no gap, well, maybe a 1/4". Called the Timbren factory and they eagerly sent me a shorter rubber spring. I got them today and after installing them my truck no longer rides like a hay wagon.

I see you have an F-350. Did you have a helper spring on it? And did you have to remove the helper spring? My 350 handles the loads fine but the ride is much stiffer than my old 250 (on which I installed air bags for towing). Adding Timbrins would not help the ride on my 350 unless I removed some springs also.

Stiles, I have them on my 2011 Dodge 3500 dually and like them a lot. I am currently in Ocean Lakes CG in South Myrtle Beach, SC, pulled down here from upper Maryland 2 days ago. Truck rode really nice, didn't even know they were there.
But I still have a good 1/2 inch gap with the 1 inch spacer installed.

Slufoot, I don't know how it will ride when pulling yet. Until I got the shorter rubber springs, it rode rough. The shorter rubber springs gives me a gap of 3/4" to 1". They will not engage until I hook up. I was getting too much sag in my opinion and bought the Timbrens to minimize the sag.

Guys I have been thinking about these. my truck has started to sag alittle over the last few yrs. I was thinking about new springs but these would be a lot easyer. I am going to ck on a price now that you folks speak good about them. they have a dealer in town a big truck shop. I really din't want to install air bags.

Tom I told him I would install them myself so I don't think he priced installation. I think that was his profit for ordering them.

Bobby,
I just pulled the receipt on mine. Purchased 5/8/09 $189.99. Since I bought them out of local stock no shipping. I realize your truck is a little bigger then mine but my price is more in line with what Tom paid and his truck is comprable to yours. Jim

I installed Timbrens on my Chevy 2500HD, last November. Purchased from etrailer.com for $206, including shipping. Timbren Engineering was very helpful with assisting me obtaining the correct size.

I have read this thread with some interest for the future . Having air bags with a onboard compressor on my present truck, timbrens seem a much simpler install, but it is difficult to think that timbrens would work as well. Seems to me that you are at the mercy of whatever it gives you stiff or whatever. Maybe someone that has had both can give some insight.

Rich,
2 inches is nothing, if you are satisfied with the way your truck sits with the Monty connected, I would say NO, you don't need them.
The reason I went with them was cause I felt I has sag, enough to pull the front end up... REMEMBER MY PICTURES????

Hi,
I have the Timbrens, you have to determine how much 'normal' load you will be at, say you are a person that just drives the truck unloaded, no tool box, and no fat dogs riding along with you. But you cut and haul firewood 2 weeks in the fall.
The Timbrens would not even come into play until fall when you haul wood. The truck would ride normal, the Timbrens would not touch the frame. But when loaded with a bunch of fat dogs or firewood, the truck will ride stiff because the load will be on the hard rubber 'springs'.
I like them as much, maybe better than the air bags I had on a previous truck. They are 'passive' no need to air, or even have air for them.

I put them on my single rear wheel F-350 and highly recommend them. They really help when you are cruising along and the road has a sharp drop, or the drop after crossing an overpass. They made a termendous difference. Like the other people wrote, very easy to install.
