Our previous 5er had a switch on the wall for turning the hot water heater on 110 volts. Also, I understand that some of the earlier Montanas had a switch inside. Our 2004 did not and we frequently forgot to go outside and shut it off. We mounted a switch with an indicator light inside so we know when it is on and don't have to go outside to toggle it.

Lamar, Ron, and TBHD,

Heck!

I don’t know it all, myself. But I do respect people who have experience, as well as knowledge. And I appreciate the input about my confusion over breakers.

I don’t mind admitting to my ignorance. Especially when I have posted it for everyone to see!

I like the idea of a checklist. I manage to forget something, however small, almost every time we move. And I know my memory isn’t going to improve over time! (We had the covers of atlas my wife uses laminated for durability at Kinkos, and then had it put into a spiral binding so it could be opened flat.)

That wall switch is a great addition. I imagine I could extend the leads from that AC switch on the outside panel of the heater, to the kitchen counter area, without major problems. But I think the Mrs. Would get anxious if she heard me say that, and go out there with tools in hand!
