2019 High Country shower faucet failure

We have a 2019 High Country. Two issues:

#1 - In the bathroom, there are two vanities with separate single handle cheap plastic faucets now badly patinaed. Does anyone else have this condition occurring? I want to replace these faucets with real metal faucets and would like to know if anyone else has done this and what faucet did you go with as the replacement.

#2 - Last Saturday afternoon I stepped into the shower, turned the single handle for the control valve, and was nearly knocked down by the jetstream of water beating against me after the control handle blew off the faucet. Had to turn off the water to the entire camper and I was not a happy camper. Anyone else experienced this and what did you do for a replacement? I want to go back with a quality product and not the cheap component installed by the factory.

We are not full-timers, mainly weekenders at this point so these components are not abused. No kids, just two nearly retired RVers.

Not sure of the brand, but on our 2013 I opened it up and measured the distance between the inlets. I then went to the local hardware store and bought a good faucet and a couple of extenders to make it easier to replace if I ever do again.
