Spongy floor

I bought my used 2016 Montana N343R in 2016 and have been RVing for 5 to 6 months each year. Spent four of the past summers in Alaska so as you can guess my unite has seen some heavy use.
The floor in the living room / kitchen is starting to show some seriously concerning separation. At first it was miss diagnosed as water damage. The construction of the floor is made up of aluminum cross beams with a 1/8” Masonary board on the top and the bottom with foam in the center. Montana called this helium CONSTRUCTION.(see attached picture ). In appears that the foam has got compressed in the higher traffic areas.
Got to correct the situation when we return to our home in Fl this winter. Has anyone ever did an overlay of plywood to correct this problem and would the 3 slides be able to clear the new floor? Stripping the floor would only gain me the 1/8 “ Masonary board and the thickness of the vinyl covering.

You posted no pic. That model # does not exist. As far as I know the floors of all montanas are 3" aluminum framed covered with 5/8" seamless floor decking (OSB). There is nothing like you describe.

It’s a 343rl high country I believe. The link to the 2016 brochure lists helium technology but fails to explain it.

The "Helium Technology" was supposedly referred to the walls and their construction. They said they were significantly lighter than the walls in a regular Montana. I don;t know if they also made changes to the floor construction.

It says right in the brochure welded aluminum frame walls and Floors. The brochure is not very specific. However if you Google helium technology you will get a better answer.

That says use of 2in aluminum framed laminated floor with Italian Poplar floor decking vs 5/8 in dynaspan seamless floor decking of regular units. So it looks like the floor is different.

I was told the floor in the High Country was laminated construction unlike the Montana

Just like about everything else in life, you get what you pay for. The High Country cost less for a reason

There is a better way than to overlay it with another layer.

I’m going with water intrusion from the slide. Going to want to pull the floor up and replace.
