battery

I want to change out an old battery for a new one and i was wondering if I have to shut everything down while hooked up to shore power. I am in a park with shore power at present but recent boondocking experience has informed my old battery is not functioning as good as it should..

Hi would definitely shut off shore power while changing battery. Your power converter is providing current to charge the battery when you are plugged in. Disconnected betters cables are still hot, and could accidentally touch each other causing a short and possibly do harm to the converter.

Yes I would shout it down. Not a good idea working in a confined area with hot battery leads.
