Prodigy

I don't know if Prodigy brake contol users are aware that if their controller has a serial number of less than 130000 it will be replaced free. The earlier ones gave some faulse codes. Mine showed a open ground, which I didn't have, but it will drive you crazy trying to find one.

My original was one of those. I took it to a nearby dealer who knew nothing about it. I got them to call Tekonsha and they promptly traded me for a new one. Mine also showed an open ground. I was told by Tekonsha it had to do with some computer changes in the Ford SuperDuty. I don't know if other vehicles are affected.

What year was your Prodigy? I just got mine in August and use it on an '04 Silverado. Just wondering if this is older models. Thanks.

Ron and Terrie, you're probably fine. I got mine in May or June, 2003. It was replaced in June, 2003, and that one had no problem.
