Wow! And the guy stood outside his car taking pictures.

Wow! Those pictures are amazing! It is something to see both those animals literally "flying" down the road. I'm afraid, however, that I would have missed taking the one with the Griz coming straight at the camera! Not only that but I would have had to buy a new camera and a change of clothes!

Amazing photographs!I like the front and back shots that show the bear completely off the ground.

Those are great photos but what if the Grizzly changed his mind on what food he wanted?

Jack,
If you look carefully you can see where the bison is also 'flying'. Those are some of the most awesome pictures I've ever seen of animals in a life and death struggle.
Keep your camera ready.

Neat! I blew them up to a higher resolution and they came out pretty nice.
Thanks for the post Butch!

Given that Grizzle Bear has a stop speed of 35 mph; I think the photographer qualifies as a Darwin Award winner.

Grant,
Since the photographer survived he is not yet a winner..... Only a candidate. But given the circumstances evidenced by the photos ..... He will no doubt be a "winner" very soon!
Later,
Dennis
