Refrigerator drain hose

My drain hose has become brittle and breaking off. The parts guy at the local rv supply store said I have to pull the fridge out to replace it. Has anybody replaced this before? Or know an easier way that pulling out the fridge?

It usually only breaks and becomes brittle where it is exposed to sunlight. If you take the vent cover off, you can see where it is still in "good" shape and cut the old off and splice a new piece on. It does not have to be the same type of hose either, if you can come up with an coupling or junction of some type, you can add some longer lasting more durable type of hose and run it to the outside. You do not have to pull the fridge out!!

I got some clear tubing and slipped it over the white tube. The white tube kept breaking almost all the way to the top of connection. My fridge runs all the time so I guess the heat from the coils dried it out behind the panel. Hope this will hold up. Thanks for the suggestions.
