Kitchen faucet problem
We have an intermittent kitchen faucet problem. When you push the lever up for hot or cold water, it sounds as though the water starts to run but it does not. When this happens, we go up to the bathroom faucet and turn it on for a second(water runs). We then return to the kitchen and try again. It begins to run. This has worked every time this has occurred.
Anyone have any ideas about this problem?
Thanks,

Try spinning off the 'bubbler' the little cap on the faucet, clean it, sometimes it collect junk in it's little screen.

Do a search, it seems like I remember that there is some sort of valve that needs replaced??? Perhaps someone can chip in that knows the specifics of what has been a previous fix. I know this has came up on the forum before. Another option is to remove the flow restrictors that are inside of the faucet workings, but I cannot remember if that was a fix for low flow or what you are describing.

In some of the faucets there is a check valve that stops the flow so a separate sprayer would work. If I am not mistaken,it may have been an option on some units.

lcarter,
After doing an extensive forum search, what I turned up is that the problem may be caused by flow restrictors. Some models had two restrictors, one in the faucet and one in the flex line beneath the counter. When I removed ours from the OEM faucet in the 3400 we had, it was a small white disk which can be found behind the aerator. The one in the flex line is where the rig water line hooks up to the faucet. Hope this helps.
