3400 Entertainment Center
Can anyone help me out on this. We want to take the 27" TV out of the entertainment center and replace it with a plasma. I can't figure out how the darned TV is mounted in there. We also want to put the new TV on a swing mount and use the space behind for our DVD collection and my computer junk.
I'm sure someone has done this and it's pretty simple, it's just not obvious to this old guy. How can I get that TV out of there??
Thanks..

Jim
It has been done and someone may be able to explain better than I. In the top cabinet there is a plastic (wood) plug right at the front. Remove the plug and there is a screw under it. Remove the screw, it is screwed into the middle speaker. Remove the speaker and under the speaker is the screw to the top of the TV. Then remove the fireplace by taking out the wooden plugs in the four corners and remove the screws underneath. There are 2 screws into the bottom of the TV. Then put it all back together!
Happy trails.....................

Take a hack saw blade (no frame) and slide it between the TV and cabinet and saw the screws. No one knows they are there but you.

Please keep us informed on what TV and how it was installed. I like the idea of swinging out and storage behind. Once you have the TV out you will want to replace the shelf because it is made of very thin material. I have had ours out and there are three screws that hold it in. One at the center speaker and two from below.
