Fireplace not working

I just noticed that my fireplace does not work in my 2020 keystone Montana lk3701. It has a power switch and then a on off button. Nothing comes on at all. It’s like it has no power to it. Check fuses and breakers and no issues there. Any idea? I read it might have come un plugged so does it plug in behind the unit? How do you remove it to check? Please help

Chris,

First - welcome to the forum!

Your fireplace should also have a remote. That is how mine is turned on and off.

Ours sits under the television in the same cabinet. When I raise the TV all the way, I can see the back of the fireplace and the cord and plug.

I've never tried to remove ours, but I think there are only a few screws holding it in. Maybe a trim plate along top or side edges covering the screws?

The fake bricks are held on with a few screws remove those and then the fireplace itself is held in by more screws. After removing those the fireplace unit pulls right out.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a reset button on the fire place itself, it is a safety for overheating. It must be reset manually, ours has a glass cover that can be removed by lifting straight up and out, and then you can access the screws for removing the fire place.

I have a few pics and discussion for removing my fireplace last year in this thread...but I removed it to install a coax pigtail for my Dish Wally black box. I have not had power issues with the fireplace.

There should be two to four screws holding the fireplace to the stiles/rails of the cabinet below the telly. Remove the screws and slide the fireplace out until you can see the plug in the outlet.

Try disconnecting your trailer from power for a few minutes. this will also reset it . Then plug back in and see if works. This fixed mine.

I can't find that model on the Keystone site, but if you have TWO fireplaces, usually one in master bedroom and one under TV then only one can be on at a time. They are interlocked. If you have 2 then the interlock is likely stuck.

GetDunn: The OP has not visited the MOC since 1/23/2022. You might be better Posting a new Thread about YOUR problem and one of the many fireplace experts here can help.

Replacing the fireplace unit fireplace unit in my 2018 was easier and cheaper than fixing it. I actually like the unit I found on Amazon better. Take it out, measure the hole and go shop for it on Amazon. here is what I bought; https://a.co/d/cxdSxr4
