Electric kitchen slide won’t retract

We had to abort our departure today because the kitchen slide room will not retract fully. It will retract about 4”, then just stops. It will extend back out fully, but will not retract any further than 4”. All other slides work. I even had people pushing from the outside, but the results were no different. No obstruction on the roof, nor anywhere else that I can see.

Ideas?

Turns out one of the cables had frayed, strands broke off and were jamming the system.

Isn't there a manual way of getting the slide to move.?

If you can get a cable and swagging tool then you can be on your way in about an hour. Cut the frayed wire and replace. Not a fun job but doable
