Honda parallel wiring Mod.
I am starting my project, here are some pictures of the beginning of my project. This is just rough now, I will fine tune it as I go.

And this is why I spent about $200 on my parallel kit (MSRP $250 to $275). It's probably gonna be only $50 in parts but in my case I had to pay the extra $$$ because I lack the tools and the know-how.
If you want to save some design time I can take some measurements and picture for you for the adapter I purchased. Let me know (email is quickest). I have no doubt you can handle this job technically, but some info and pictures can sure save some time and effort. I am finishing a honey-do around the house today, but can help you get some information to speed up your fine tuning.

Latest step, bracket for my electrical: Breaker, switch for killing power to second generator for safety reasons, and 30 Amp power to Monte plug. Still waiting for UPS delivery on my electrical parts.

How about a watt meter (ammeter)? My "companion" RV solution from a company called Reliance also has this in the panel. I have been known to take a look at it just to see how much power I am using. It shows less than 900 watts when not running too much stuff (fridge and some lights). One of these days I'll have to look at it with the A/C, satellite receiver, televisions, the ceiling fan and a couple of lights to see if I would have enough for a microwave or DW's blow dryer.
Here's my unit showing the meter. I think your addition of a 2nd switch to kill power to the other generator is a great idea:

I like the meter, I have one inside the Montana along with a 12 volt amp meter. Good to know how much you are using, and how much is in reserve.
