Ford 6.0 PSD

Just herd on the news their is a recall on the Ford 6.0 PSD. Did not get the details

The recall is Ford recall # 05S34 For the 2005 F-250SD 6.0 PSD.It is the fuel injection control module replacement. It will cause the truck to stall withouit warning.

on the recall//it says..may stall without warning WHILE DRIVING and may not start..Check the Ford web site you should be able to find the complete recall notice there.

A friend of mine with an '05 sent me this:

"I looked up the recall info because I haven't seen any mail on it.
I think it only covers trucks manufactured 3/8/2004-5/18/004. "

All the recall says is year 2005.There IS a number to call 1-888-327-4236

Go to www.nhtsa.gov click on vehicles and equipment, then click on recalls and defects..then click on find out if your vehicle or equipment has been recalled..enter nhtsa campaign # 05v270000 Read recall.

Mine would fall into that 3/8 - 5/14 date range. I haven't had any problems so far. I'll keep my fingers crossed. When I go to ford's owners site it doesn't show any recalls for my vin number.

I think that notice said that the the recall would take effect July 5th. I also looked for it on the Ford site and did not find it..yet...I am sure it will show up.

I saw the same dates on a site somewhere but forgot where. Those dates would not include ours.
