Reno, nv to Daytona Beach, fl

We're on a return leg from the northwest, and after we crossed from Sacramento to Reno on i-80, my wife said no more mountains. I was thinking of taking rt 95 or 395 south to pick up i-40. Pulling a 38 ft Monty. Any opinions or suggestions?

Thanks,
Andy

We did Sacramento to NYC, DC, Nashville, back to Sac last year WITH OUR 33' Montana. If DW didn't like crossing the Sierra mountains, don't continue on I80 because you've got the Rockies right past Salt Lake City (much worse than the Sierra). I40 also goes through the Rockies on the way to Albuquerque. So does I70. Perhaps least mountainless route would be I10.

In Sept we are taking I80 ending up in Hershey, PA. From there to Philadelphia, down I95 to Charlestown, SC, St. Augustine, FL, and then I10 to Phoenix, up I17 where we'll catch I40, then through the Mojave to Bakersfield and then I5 back to Sacramento. I just take it slow and steady going up and down mountains, and be glad when you're through. If you want to travel our beautiful country, you'll always be crossing mountain ranges.

After driving Reno to Salt Lake City, she'll be begging for mountains.
