On board air and Tempurpedic mattress

We are the proud owners of a 2007 3400RL. One thing I would like to add is "on board air". I have a small 110v AC air compressor I can haul, but I get the impression from posts on this list that many of you have a 12v DC source. Any advice as to brands and models? Also, we would like to upgrade the bed. I have heard tons of good info regarding the Tempurpedic mattresses. The existing mattress is about 72 x 76. I called one reputable dealer, and she suggested I check in to ordering the "California King" which she said is 72 x 84 and having someone cut in to size with a bandsaw. Anyone ever done this or considered it? I know the Select Comfort beds are popular, but I have heard more positive info about the Tempurpedics. Thanks.

We have the Tempurpedic mattress at home and I can tell you it's the finest mattress we have ever slept on. It's awesome for a sore back, neck, etc. One of us gets up at night and the other doesn't even feel it.
BUT...try to pick one up at the store sometime. It's takes two men and a gorilla to handle one. As much as I'd love to have one in our rig, I'd have to look elsewhere.
I've heard the air number beds work well, but those are also pricey.

drjjj,
Our 2006 2980RL came with the King mattress. We replaced it with our select comfort Queen from the stick house. It is wonderful to have our bed and the bonus is that we get the extra 6" of space on each side of the bed.

BTW, the select comfort measures 60 x 80.

Hope this helps.

Peace!
