WE saw it yesterday, and yes I consider it very funny. I have had prior experience in Class A's in which you could probably relate to some of the situations especially some of the driving stuff. The campground dumping scene is the best part. There was quite a bit of "hollywood stunt" stuff. Can't imagine taking a corner on two wheels in a Class A without rolling it. But I am not going to pick the movie apart as it was good entertainment and I felt I got my $5.50 worth.

There are several reviews, most of them negative, but this one is positive: http://www.fandango.com/ReviewPage.a...WashingtonPost. Link from it to the others. I'm going to see it this afternoon and will keep my expectations in line.

Later - Saw it this afternoon with 2 RVing friends and we all laughed our backsides off! The critics who gave it only 1.5 stars were too critical, IMHO. I'm going to buy the DVD when it comes out.

...still laughing!

I didn't see it but it sure got hammered here in the reviews. I don't put much stock in the reviews usually whatever they say I go the opposite route.

Haven't seen the movie yet. But the feeling I'm getting about it as I read some "reviews" is....if you have experience with an RV, you'll enjoy the movie. If you have no experience in an RV situation, then you may not understand all the "off the wall" scenes.

I have never cared for the humor of Robin Williams so we will probably never see it.

Saw it, enjoyed it !! The bad review folks probably weren't RVers !!
That was actually shot in Canada and passed off as Colorado.

I just heard on the TV that the first weekend was a smash! RV pulled in 16.4 million "vs" 9-11 which pulled 11.6 million. Guess my friend and I will have to go and see it....From what I have seen, I can already tell you that a lot of those things have happened to me!!!LOL

Dan & I are planning on seeing this one (maybe tonite). We only go to the movies once a year or so. This one seems to be a good funny one. And like Mac, if the critics hate it, I love it.

It seems RVers like it and reviewers don't. (The review I heard said they should have dumped the script when they dumped the tanks.)

We did go and see this last night - we really enjoyed it! There were only about 7 couples in the theatre. It's so nice to go to a movie where noone gets murdered or bad language, etc... just laugh until you cry! We only go see about one movie a year and I'm glad we picked this one! As always, the critics & I do not agree. Yeah, I could pick it apart for alot of things, but I can't because it's just too funny!! Still this morning, I just keep giggling ...

Going to see the movie this week. The rv that is shown being totaled was a lot of Hollywod trickery. The actual rv in the movie was donated to a group from the Hurricane Area, who are still trying to rescue animals, who are lost or injured. Their old vehicle was a beater. It was given to the group, by Robin Williams on the TV series Extreme Makeover, thats the group who has rebuilt a lot of homes for special families in the south and other parts of the country.

We saw it the second day of release. While staying at Salisbury Beach State Reservation. Saturday matinee 6 bucks /pp . Laughed through most of it. But there were slow parts. Then you realize, a motorhome in hollywood terms, must become a US Army tank. But it was funny. The story line focused on family values and was rewarding. Will probably buy the dvd to add to the collection.

Not to change the subject, but if you are looking for a movie about family values, you should see Cinderella Man. I hate boxing but loved the movie. It is also a lesson in what our parents and grandparents went through during the depression. It makes our complaints about gas prices almost laughable.

In my humble opinion Robin Williams is one of th emost under-rated actors ever. Sometimes his humor is a little off the wall, but I have seen some of his work such as "Awakenings" and "Patch" and "Dead Poets Society" in which he did an outstanding job. He was also great in "Popeye". You either love hime or hate him. I can hardly wait to see RV.

Nancy, we agree about Cinderella Man. Ed is a boxing fan so he really enjoyed it and since it is a true story made it that much more enjoyable. I loved the scene where he dreamed about a steak and so gave his bologna to his daughter. Great movie and great acting. Even our theater daughters agreed.
Happy trails.....................
