Egg on face

OK guys I am really confused now. I'll start by quoting the GM manuel for 2003 Silverado page 5-117. STUD #1. Auxilliary Power (Single Battery and Diesels Only)/Dual Battery (TP2) Do not install fuse. I took this to mean that with dual batteries and with diesel not to install this fuse.

I just went out and with a voltmeter checked the + & - pins and no volts. Put fuse in and yep 14 volts. So I was wrong. But I have question. Back in Dec. I picked up the 5er at the dealer after hours. The front legs would not work. Hook up plug to truck and all was normal. So I deduced that power was getting to batteries. Hope you understand my confusion.

You had good info, Bill.

Sorry about the earlier posting.

Dick, we all have egg on our faces from time to time. I'm especially prone to that. What you have me wondering now is why the landing gear worked when you connected to the truck. Was the problem intermittent and it's working pure coincidence? I'm sure I would draw the same conclusion you did.
