Bill,
I put Timbrens on my '04 2500HD Duramax. There are pros and cons. First of all, the price, about 1/3 the price of putting in air bags with the on-board compressor. Second, they really do keep the ride height up, but you won't get extra carrying capacity from any unit since that depends on the lowest rated portion of your system (tires, wheels, axles, springs, etc). They can be very harsh. I may have made a mistake in getting the higher rated set (5600#) instead of the 4000# set. I think they are a trifle longer and thus there is no room for travel before they come in contact with the axle. But there are no moving parts to go wrong either. I may still get the air bags some day, just not so soon that Shari will remember what I paid for the Timbrens.
