Snowbunny, I happened upon this thread. If you're trying to make your picture not squash like that, here's what you have to do.

Find the number of pixels horizontally and vertically of your picture. Divide the smaller of those numbers by the larger. Multiply the result by 64. Let's call this the "small side". Now, in your profile where you put the avatar url, just below there it says avatar size. The first box is the number of pixels you want displayed for the horizontal side. The second is for the vertical. Put 64 in whichever is the larger and the "small side" result in the other box. For example, if your picture is 800x600, you'd put 64 in the first box and 48 (600/800*64) in the second box. Your avatar will no longer scrunch up your picture.

If this is not what you're testing, please disregard.

Thanks Steve, I was wondering why that was happening. I was actually trying to change our photo from one I had successfully put up a year ago. For the life of me I couldn't get it to show but you mentioned that it should be the avatar and not 'my picture' and that lit the bulb. I was concerned that it was squished but also realized that it was too small to really identify us so I pulled it and replaced it again. Now if only I can remember the procedure the next time I change it!

Just remember you want the "size" to be in the same proportion as the picture.! I had a lot of trouble with ours being squished too and just happened to stumble upon the procedure.

Nice picture.

Test to see what my site looks like - we have been living in 5th wheel last 6 months.
