Canadian Diesel Price

How's the diesel price in Canada? We plan on going up through the Canadian Rockies and on to Alaska this summer. Alaskan prices aren't too bad but I can't find info on Canadian fuel prices. We'll be pulling our 06 2955 RL with an 06 Ford F250 4x4 diesel. We love the rig and can't wait to get back on the road again.

If you go to the Flying J website, you can find prices at all FlyingJ's including those in Canada.

When we returned to Canada after 3 months in Texas, we were pleasantly surprised that diesel prices did not seem to have risen as much here as they have in the U.S., and diesel is now significantly less than regular gas again.

Prices vary across both countries, but comparing the price today at the Flying J in Lansing, MI with the Flying J in London, ON,(about 150 miles apart), and doing the conversions from litres to gal and CDN$ to US$, the prices are very close, (actually slightly less in Ontario) about 2.87 vs 2.92. (Using an exchage rate of .85) These are Flying J prices which are usually lower than most, but the comparison should be valid.

Hope this hold true for your trip in the summer, and that you enjoy your trip north.

Thanks Diana, that's a little more expensive than where we live in Colorado. Today it's between $2.92 to $3.15 per gallon US. As long as the price doesn't go to much higher we'll make the trip.
