Build up retards water flow
We were having problems with the water pressure. The Campground supplies a steady 40 psi, but we were getting dribble showers. So, OK, start looking. First, I disconnected all the intake water line from the source. I use brass quick connects and since I have added a sediment filter, that means four connect points. Everyone of them had heavy build up of calcium plus the intake screen was nearly closed off with flake. I also replaced the internal filter which is a .5 micron bio filter. Shazam! Adequate water flow.
Next the water heater. The anode was thoroughly, but not completely eaten and the tank was loaded with balls of gel. Now the heater is more efficient after a thorough cleaning and a new anode.
Moral of the story: when you sit in the same place for nine months, your water "arteries" can really get a build up of deposits even if you have a double filter system.
