Definitely plan on at least eating once at Fudpucker's in Destin. It is worth the 20 minute trip from the campground. The alligator appetizer is very good, even the girls at it. They have an alligator pool under the restaraunt, and photo's are available holding a small alligator (mouth taped - thank goodness). Seeing Caty (DW) the first time, petrified, holding an alligator was a never to be forgotten, once in a lifetime event. You will enjoy the menu as well. They have a website if you want to research it on a Google or Yahoo search. The park (Topsail) itself is the most georgeous campground we have ever stayed in!!

Thanks Bingo, I am thankful to be working in the tough times people are having right now, but after working 12 hours aday, 5 & 6 days a week, my brain is dead when I get home at night! I typed "sights" when I meant "sites" in the campground. We are very familiar with the Destin area as we are there about once a year. The campground we normally stay at has raised their rates to over $100 aday, so we were going to try Topsail Hill this trip.
By the way, Very nice looking dock you built!
Thanks Mark

Mark,
You work hours sound a lot like mine, so I understand the "brain dead" part totally. The most scenic sites are the ones in the loop on the left. Reservations are on Reserveamerica which has built in map of the campground sites. Area 5 on the map is our favorite area. If you have a rear window Montana, the back row and the left outside entering the loop only have vegetation to look at, not another camper.
Our favorite site is 127 since you are not looking at the neighbors when you are sitting by the front door. Sites 114 - 121 are also nice, there is a dirt road behind them that is great for dog walks. I think once you visit this park, it will stay on your list of favorites. There is actually an album of photos on Webshots.com (you will have to a search for Topsail Hill) that shows a picture of every site in the campground. Have a blast!!
On edit: Forget the search, here is a link to the album:

Glad to help, and thanks for the dock compliment, now if Spring would just arrive in the North so I could get some use out of the dock and the camper, I would be happy!!

TopSail is one of our favorite vacation destination spots. We always try to get in the 100's section. If I had to I would take any available site.
Take a look at those pictures Bingo linked. To be honest your 3400 would fit in 99% of the sites.

I just went trough about twenty of the pictures, and made my mind up real fast that it will be placed on outr list to visit, as soon as time allows. Being from Jacksonville, it won't take too long to make that run. Thanks Bingo
