Hi There Everyone.

We are Vicki and Patrick from Brisbane, Australia, and have just purchased our very first fifth wheel.
We are experienced caravanners (travel trailers) having done that for quite a few years with differing brands.
Our Montana is a 2016 High Country 370BR and will be our home when we semi-retire in a few years. The opportunity to buy her came our way so we grabbed it.
Pat has been reading up on this forum for a while, gathering info on Everything about the Montana brand, which really helped when it came time to seal the deal on ‘MISTY’!
So thank you to all contributors to the forum for unknowingly helping us with the great things about Montana’s, and what to keep an eye out for when buying one.

We are looking forward to sharing our travels with you all in the years to come.

I know the country is big, but would have never thought American fifth wheels would be imported there. Enjoy.

Thank you All for you’re friendly welcome.
Yes Australia is a big country, and there is a small but growing community of US RV imports here, although big restrictions are faced by potential owners (cost and currency conversion being one), so we have specialty importers who wade through all of the beaurocratic stuff to bring the rigs up to standard to comply with our rules and regs.
Needless to say, there’s a Lot involved.

I’d love to share more in the relevant forum section if anyone is interested, as ‘our’ Montana might look normal on the surface, but underneath, she’s Very different from when she left the factory.

Would love to hear what was done under the "skins" to comply with regs there as well as what you have done in general. You probably found all kinds of issues to deal with in addition to stuff dropped into the belly while building, sawdust, bits of wire, screws, and who knows. I sure had my share when I dropped the bottoms.
