Monroe Michigan

Has anyone stayed at Sterling State Park or Camp Lord Willing RV park in Monroe Michigan ? Looking for someplace to park for couple nights while visiting family closer to Detroit in early October.

Sterling can be coolish It is RIGHT on Lake Erie. We have been there in July when it was cold near the campsites. And can be windy.

The new campsites are nice, not too many trees. Have not been since they moved the entire campground a few years back We felt it was a poor choice considering how cold it gets out there.

Others will like or love it.

Have not been to Willing.

Thank You for your response.
Did you feel safe ?
We will be visiting family and returning to the trailer late at night.
The cold we can handle for 2 or 3 nights.

Safe, yes. I have never felt unsafe in a Michigan State Park, except once when a shotgun went off VERY near our rig late at night. They did not pull any bodies out of there the next morning so I guess it was someone being a bit full of adult beverages, OR well, not sure what. They could have been on the lake in a boat for all I knew.

I felt more "unsafe" in a private park here in Michigan where the guy checking us in was packing a pistol on his hip, something that is not normal in my experience.

Edited to correct the horrible auto correct messes from the iPad. LOL
