DVD Player Failure

My DVD player has been failing. It would play OK for about 1/3 of the DVD then it would start freezing and playing. Then it would freeze solid. My dealer just replaced it with a AVR6000 model and so far it seems to be OK. I have only played one DVD on it; but, it played all the way thru with no problems.

Well I would suggest you not leave the new one outside in the snow!

So far, I don't think we have heard of a 6000 model going bad yet, knock on wood!

But Brad, the old one did such a great job of keeping the steaks cool while on the road.

hahahahaha!

How does the remote control work on that new one? Our 4000 remote requires a lot of pressure on the buttons and has to pratically be pointed directly at the unit.

The remote works OK; but, it does seem to have to be pointed directly at the DVD player. The only problem I had was that the dealer had hooked up one of the cables from the DVD to the TV wrong and the picture had a blueish color with no red in the picture. Once I found the problem and hooked the wire up right it looks great. I have only watched one DVD on it; but, it played all the way through with no problems.
