Trip to Maine

I am planning a trip to Sebago , Maine from Northern Va. I would like to get some routing info and convenient campground info for this trip. The thought of driving past New York City is not good, but if I have to , I will. All comments will be welcomed.

Thanks

I would avoid NYC, Philly, Baltimore, etc...I would work my way to interstate 78, thru the Delaware Water Gap to 84...then either north to Albany and cross thru southern Vermont and New Hampshire or on to Boston to 290 and 495...but the last time we were there the roads were pretty rough and slow...the Albany way is much easier drive and relaxing with beautiful country...lot more campgrounds going that way as well...take your time and enjoy the ride....

Thanks for the commments, I kept looking at the map and couldnot justify taking the RV up there for a few days. I have decided to fly there.

Thanks Again

We just came from Maine. New York, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Maine have roughest roads I've ever seen
