Continental HTL2 Eco Plus vs. GoodYear G114

Has anyone used the 17.5" Continental HTL2 Eco Plus? I just purchased a 3900FB and will be removing the Keystone standard 16" Marathons (tires/rims) and replacing with the 17.5" tires and wheels. I have a quote on the GoodYear G114 and the Continental HTL2 Eco Plus, the Continental is a little cheaper in price by $35. Any input on this tire is appreciated.

Very interesting. Specs look pretty much the same as the GY G114s, but Continental calls their's a "J" rated tire. Must be a European thing because it's rated at 4805 Lbs @ 125 PSI same as the G114s.
Continental is not a new name in tires so I would hope that they're a good tire, provided they're not having them MFR'ed in China.

We have the G114's and have been very satisfied.

Tires show no signs of wear at all. We probably have around 6k miles on them.

Check out Trailer Tires and Wheels in northern ohio (trailertiresandwheels.com) I have the sumitomo load range h and hispec wheels from them. Nice cool running tires, but i expect that will be true of most of the commercial med duty trailer tires. Cost of 5 complete tire/wheel/balancing/shipping to maine rv park via fed-x was $2918 at the end of aug 2013. By the way, the diameter of the 17.5 inch tires are real close to what the 16 inch marathons were...but when you lift one you will instantly know why it is a much better built tire. John
