Next years trip planning
I am starting some planning for next year, comments appreciated.
I am thinking about a trip from Virginia north via the Eastern Shore, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, including Long Island and continuing north maybe to Nova Scotia.
As a kid I use to go to Greenport Long Island, NY (67 years ago started going) and that is part of the reason for that stop. The Eastern shore of Virginia is a father’s day camping stop we do so that will be the first stop. The rest of the trip is in the planning stage.

Contact jwedell. You can PM him. He lives in Center Moriches and can tell you all about camping on Long Island. It sounds like a great trip.

Nova Scotia and New Brunswick are beautiful, as well as all the US states along the coast. Hope you have a lot of time so you don't have to rush thru any of it.

There is a small town owned campground in Greenport that we stayed at 2 years ago called McCans. It only has water, sewer and electric. and nothing else. But it is very close to greenport and it still is a very lovely small town. If you would like more information on other places to stay PM me. Sounds like a great trip, Good Luck. John

John,
I have the Trailer Life Campground Navigator software on my computer and I had used McCann's as my campground for Greenport. My memory of Greenport is not much. I must have been at least 16 the last time I went because I did some of the driving, 13 hour trip for us including the Staten Island ferry.
I was talking to a friend last night that has been to Nova Scotia on his motorcycle and the way he talked there is a lot to see. He said it was not expensive when they went.

Cyrus, if you click on my blog and go to the Newfoundland journal, you will see a lot of pictures from Nova Scotia and lots of ideas of what not to miss.
