Marathons no more

Just swapped my marathons for a set of Firestone Transforce H/T

The marathons had less than 3000 mi. on them but with a 4000+ mi. trip planned for later this year I didn't want to tempt fate.

I could only find one local tire shop that would give me any trade-in at all for the marathons and he recommended the Firestones, said he had them on all his trailers. Sounded good to me, plus they are on Lonnie's list. Gotta be an improvement.

Will be ordering the TST507 soon.

I feel better already.

Good move. Getting rid of the Marathons BEFORE something happens is becoming popular around here. The Firestones are a good choice, also. I have them on my truck, as many on this forum do. There are a bunch who have them on their Montanas as well. The TST will give you peace of mind.

Hi

Our Marathons has 4,500 on them including the trip from the factory to the dealer when we found the side walls bubbled on all 4 tires.

Good move.

Got the same tires early last year. About 5k miles on them and they've been great.

We have had good luck with the TransForce tires.

Just leaving the Marathons behind will make driving a lot more fun and once you have the monitors you can fully enjoy the drive again.

Replaced Marathons last Nov on the Monty. Decided to keep Marathons to use on equipment trailer locally for business. Had tires mounted last week. Tire man called me in to look at tire running on balancer. We saw an egged shaped tire running. Two of the four tires were bad. Again a bad situation was avoided by removing problem tires. I was elated that Michelins are now on Monty.

When it came to replace the tires on our '04 2955 we also went with TransForce HT's based on Lonnie's recommendation. You should be well served by them.

Had my first Marathon blowout today. Less than 2 years old and proper inflation, luckily with the auto levelers, we were able to change to the spare very quickly, while on the side of a busy highway. Looking at getting some 14 ply g rated trailer tires in a few days.

Hi

We are on our second set of Firestone TransForce tires on the TV and they have given us about 60,000 miles on the first set without any issue.
