Underbody material?
I've been on line and I see all different variations of the underbody material used to cover the bottom. What is the correct product? Where is the best place to purchase? When I bought my rig, it was previously repaired by a service center for a faulty rear hydraulic leveler, and I hate seeing duct tape on the area they cut. I'm OCD.

Rather than taking off the old, just go over the top of it with new. Save a lot of work.

My neighbors think I'm nuts as I clean it before each trip.

Obviously you can replace the coroplast but I'm wondering why any service center would use duct tape to cover a seam they had cut?? It would bother me to. If you wanted to consider it, look at scrim tape, which is what should have been used. Would be easier, less costly and doesn't look too bad but you will know it's there - but you will with a "piece" of coroplast if you don't replace the entire bottom.

Home Depot, usually on the back wall. It will most likely be white, not black. The BIG difference is you have to buy it in sheets and will need 3, 4, or more so lot's of tape, NOT Duct tape, scrim tape. Once you start repairing things that are in the belly you will have lot's of those 3 sided openings. Just remember the wind direction under the trailer and leave the 4th side upwind so they don't blow open.

Take the duct tape off, clean off the area. Repair with “ Bear bond “ can buy online. NASCAR uses it to “ hold cars “ together. It will stick forever comes in Black and a lot easier than replacing you underbelly. Hope this helps be safe.

At $70 a 3' piece, I don't think so when I have at least 20' to repair. Scrim tape is what the factory uses and although expensive is $2 for 3ft worth.

BCRVMan: Was that $ 70.00 CAD for 3 pieces, or just one 3' piece ? I checked Amazon.ca (with Canadian $ prices) and it showed Bear Bond All-Use Repair Tape - 6" x 36" - White or Black (Black), Price:CDN$ 69.86
As we Canuks know, often the prices north of the border can be double of those on the U.S. sites, due to exchange, duties, gouging allowance, etc. Oh well, complaining is not going to lower the prices, only careful shopping !

Why not clean the bottom off with isopropyl alcohol, then use black 3 inch wide gorilla tape which is used by most of us?

I tried Gorilla tape, it doesn't stick well at all. I then found out from a dealer what the factory uses. That sticks like crazy. Change country if needed.

This what I have used with great success. I have taken coroplast sheets and trimmed them to whatever size I needed. Then, drilled small pilot holes and inserted one of the aluminum rivets into each hole and riveted them together over the affected area. If you need to revisit that area for a repair, just simply grind off the rivet. Larger sheets are available.
