adding holding tank supports

I've been having problems with the galley tank cracking on the botton. Fixed once and it cracked again right thought the patch.
Can I put a couple cross supports of angle aluminium under the area wherer is seems to sag to the point of cracking the tank? Maybe wrap them in rubber tape or something so they don't rub.

An alternate fix is screw a couple of 2" or 3" straps into the floor joists looping under the bottom of the tank

Keystone has finally changed from the two piece tanks that keep breaking to a one piece spun tank. That hopefully will end the breaking problems for the newer models. Keystone told us that the one piece tanks will not fit in the same space that was built for the two piece. Unfortunately, broken two piece tanks will still have to be replaced with new two piece tanks.

Saw the new tanks at the factory at least they changed . Does me no good after a total of 10 failed tanks on two Montana's.

I used metal straps covered with plastic tubing under my galley tank. Still working. John

Did the same thing after reading the horror stories about the black tank leaking on the concrete pad. Wasn`t to awful a job. Both tanks had a sticker on them stating to support every 16 inches, shame on keystone and paid all that money too.

What did guys attach the straps to? The lower cross frame is to low to support the tank and the tank itself sits on the top one.

When you say they changed to one piece tanks "on newer models", what defines "newer"? I have a '13. Would that be a one piece or two piece tank?

Install two rubber couplings in the drain line from the tank, that will allow the tank to flex without cracking the spud on the tank. When the tank gets full and the drain is rigid, it will put pressure on the tank. The rubber couplings allow that flexing without straining the system. If you need to repair a cracked tank, the tank repair kit is on Amazon.
