AT&T WiFi Ranger

Will this work in my Montana 3763BP? I'm not all that confident of the Winegard system.

The Wifi Ranger is an extra piece of equipment that essentially boosts the wifi signal/range. If you don't already have that, don't bother. I have an AT&T Wifi Hotspot from NetGear and use it on the AT&T unlimited plan. The wifi signal it creates is plenty strong enough to use anywhere in our rig. I usually mount it high on the wall near our kitchen slide as I also have an external mimo antenna that connects to it and that wire comes through the slide.

The WFR is not just a WiFi repeater. It has the ability the add multiple WAN connections including a hotspot. If you obtain a cellular data plan you usually have the option to obtain a modem device at the same time which is supported by your carrier of choice. These can be connected to the WFR via usb , Ethernet or even via WiFi depending on the options your hotspot provides. The WFR can also share and load balance multiple WAN connections. It’s a pretty versatile little piece of equipment. It’s a bit under powered for all of the features it has and most annoyingly the solution for most of the problems I encountered using it was to power cycle it. This wasn’t really an very good option for me. Most folks probably would not have an issue with power cycling once a day. OBTW WFR is now owned by Winegard. Publicly they have stated that no operational changes are forthcoming in the immediate future.
