Dave,
As you know, I have the low profile Dometic 13,500 btu a/c in the bedroom. I run the heat strip usually most nights during April and May, as well as September and October. The fan noise does not really bother me. I am not a light sleeper, but not a heavy sleeper either. As for those hot summer nights, as long as I run the fan speed on low or medium I can usually sleep right through it. High speed will keep me up... I wonder why your is so loud?? I am interested in the final outcome, keep me informed please...

Too bad we are oposite ends of the country. When will we see you again? I don't think you were planning on coming to the Branson campout? We are planning a trip to Yellowstone this late summer. Still a ways from you though... Would like you to listen to this to compare.

Dave,
I am not going to Branson at the moment. My Mom heard there was a MOC rally there and now she wants to go... lol! I told her it would probably be another time, this summer is already getting full. Yellowstone is a days drive(without the coach) for me. Keep me updated on your trip as the time gets closer...
